Unmatched Precision with AVA Technology
When it comes to vision, even the smallest detail matters. Most prescriptions and lenses today are made in 0.25 Dioptre steps, but the latest research suggests that 95% of people are more sensitive than this. That’s why we use AVA technology, allowing us to prescribe to an accuracy of 0.01 Dioptres— more than 20 times more precise than standard prescriptions. This level of precision enhances visual clarity and comfort, especially for tasks requiring high attention to detail, such as driving at night or working on screens.
Our Visioffice X dispensing system matches this accuracy during the dispense process, allowing us to measure to 1/10 of a mm and 1/10 of a degree— far superior to our rulers and pens! It also allows us to order lenses with Eyecode technology— taking into account the eye rotation centre and dominant eye of the patient, along with specific frame parameters. This results in measurements that are 5 times more precise than ever before, ensuring that the wearer experiences far better lens performance, increasing clarity and reducing eye strain.

For multifocal wearers, we offer premium Varilux XR Pro lenses, engineered for a seamless transition between distance, intermediate, and near vision. These lenses take into account all of the Eyecode measurements, along with Near Vision Behaviour— how the patient holds a device or book to read and whether they are more of a ‘head mover’ or ‘eye mover’— to give up to a 25% increase in reading zone in comparison to non-personalised varifocals. Combine this with AVA-level precision and these lenses deliver superior clarity across all fields of vision, minimising distortion and maximising comfort.
